Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Sharpe (“the Service”), available at sharpe-investing.com. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What Sharpe is

Sharpe is a personal investment research terminal: market data, portfolio tracking, screeners, and AI-generated research summaries. It is an informational and educational tool. It is not investment advice — see the Disclaimer, which is part of these terms.

2. Accounts

You sign in with a Google account and are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 to use the Service. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the Service (see Acceptable use) or for any conduct we reasonably consider harmful to the Service or other users.

3. Sharpe Premium

Sharpe Premium is an optional paid subscription ($5/month at the time of writing) billed through Stripe. It renews automatically each month until cancelled; you can cancel anytime from Settings → Manage subscription, and Premium stays active until the end of the paid period. Prices and included features may change; we will announce material changes in the app before they take effect. Payments are processed by Stripe — we never see or store your card details.

4. Acceptable use

Don't abuse the Service: no attempts to breach security or access other users' data, no automated scraping or bulk-downloading of data, no reselling or redistributing the Service's data or AI output as your own product, no use that is unlawful, and no deliberate overloading of the infrastructure (which a small self-funded service feels quickly). Free accounts include a daily allowance for AI generations.

5. Market data and third-party services

Quotes, fundamentals, filings, and other market data come from third-party sources and may be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. The Service also integrates third parties you may choose to connect (for example Plaid for brokerage linking and Stripe for payments); their terms apply to your use of their services. We are not responsible for third-party data or services.

6. AI-generated content

Research summaries, forecasts, and similar content are generated by AI models. They can be inaccurate, outdated, or simply wrong, and are provided for information only. Always verify anything material against primary sources.

7. Your data

Your portfolio and watchlist data belong to you. How we handle data is described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Warranty disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sharpe and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including investment losses, lost profits, or loss of data — arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or $10 if you paid nothing).

10. Changes

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app; continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
